1. We have a small antiques/gift shop on the premises featuring country antiques; some of our unique hand painted items; and out wonderful one-of-kind "nautical shellworks".
2. In season we offer a little guest "vegtable garden"; wild strawberries, and wild blueberries. There are several local u-picks and we can provide(at a low cost)the ingredients to do up some lovely "vacation" jams or jellies to take home. Many of our guests really enjoy this aspect!
3. Gift baskets(romantic themed)can be arranged at a nominal fee. Several days notice is asked-we aim to please!
4. With advanced reservations, we will welcome you with a delicious blueberry or apple strudel coffee cake. There are complimentry "emergency" cooking items in the cottage(coffe, tea, cooking oil, butter, eggs, flour, ect.) in case you've forgotten something! Of course, all dishes and linens are fully provided.
5. A trunk full of vintage clothing:a dress-up experience the children will really enjoy. We have lots of craft supplies and indoor games for children to do on a rainy day. There are several outdoor activities for children, as well as childrens' classics for entertainment(also the many family vidios available)
6. We are only several minutes away from the popular atlantic bathing shores(warm Northuberland Strait beaches) and only about 3 minutes to the Confederation Bridge to PEI; Jourimain nature centre.
7. There are many pleasant day trips from this location- 20 minutes to NS(from there heading off to Parrsbro/Joggins for fossil hunting), 1 hour to Moncton, NB(Champlaine Mall, Crystal Palace Amusment Park, Magic Mountain Water Park, Magnetic Hill Zoo), and 45 minutes to the famous Sackville waterfowl park and boardwalk . Directly located behind our house is the Trans Canada Hiking Trail.
8. There is a restaurant within walking distance, a village about 12 minutes away, and an ATM 10 minutes away.
